People who have failed in life absolutely love conspiracy theories. And it’s easy to see why. Yes, my life is a mess. But at least I know The Truth!
Oh dear.
Chemtrails, 5G, 15-minute cities, vaccinations, all that stuff. The USA is full of them, which is why people are dying from preventable diseases all over America. It’s even spread to Australia. People who were staring at the paint on the walls during science lessons at school willingly embrace the most bizarre theories about That Goddam Government IS Trying To Control Us! Anything rather than accept the bitter truth that the kleptocracy for which you voted is stealing your future:
It may be of some comfort to know that the billionaire survivalists probably won’t survive the catastrophe either.
But the curiously persistent rumour about Trump being Agent Krasnov hasn’t gone away. There seems little reason to doubt that he was recruited by the KGB in the late 1980s. It’s just the sort of thing he would do. So … the question is this. His entire career has been a crusade to destroy the West and NATO in general, and the USA in particular? It’s a tempting hypothesis.
So why do we reject it? The problem with this idea is that we must therefore attribute to The Donald far more intelligence than he has ever shown himself to possess. Had he been the criminal genius we might expect from Agent Krasnov, he would have done exactly what he has done so far. He is taking America into the ranks of bankrupt Third World dictatorships. But if that had been his plan all along, why is he so angry all the time? Why would he not simply smirk, tell everyone that everything is going according to plan, and keep on banking the billions he’s been skimming off? Making money is easy when you’ve made insider trading legal for yourself and your nomenklatura acolytes.
The sad truth is that this man has very low intelligence. He is the living embodiment of the Dunning-Kruger Syndrome. Those who know virtually nothing have the highest levels of confidence in themselves and their infantile theories. This is a man who sent his own casinos bankrupt. He isn’t any good at business. He isn’t good at anything much except being a tiresome old blowhard.
But. Rodent cunning he possesses in abundance. He has learned the lessons of his master Roy Cohn extremely well. And his one super-power is his solipsism. We know that his emotional development froze at the age of three. It doesn’t bother him that he has no friends because he doesn’t think other people are real. They are merely stage props dragged onstage and then dismissed as soon as the photo shoot is over. Yet his anger arises from the vast echoing vacuum inside his heart. There is no amount of applause big enough to fill the emptiness within. If he were not such a destructive menace we would be filled with immense pity for the poor, unloved little rich boy who found that standing at the top of the sand-pit with his superman cape around his shoulders, yelling at the top of his voice that EVERYONE HAS TO DO WHAT I SAY! caused nothing but widespread indifference.
And so he would be revenged on the world. It is this sad little picture that holds the secret of the eternal tragedy that is Donald Trump. Yes, he probably did sign up to be a KGB agent. But Donald never keeps his word. Keeping promises is for suckers. It turns out that the KGB really did get their money’s worth. Everything he has done for the Czar of All Russias (sorry, that should be far fewer Russias than Vlad would like) has worked out well for Putin’s dying empire. But it won’t save Russia from collapse.
So the Agent Krasnov story turns out not to be important after all. He facilitated Russian aggression because he fell in a sort of man-love for the Great Dictator. Putin was what Trump would love to have been if he had the brains and ability to carry it off. Now Putin’s imminent doom has caused Donald to realise that this isn’t what he wants to be after all. Perhaps he will fall in love with the Emperor of China again. His impossible search continues….
If you show any signs of wanting to embrace conspiracy theories, please engage your brain first. There are no chemtrails. Vaccines work, and if you reject them you are volunteering for future Darwin Awards. 5G is nothing but a bunch of wavelengths. The only real conspiracy happening out there is that most of the world’s super-rich really do know that our planet is dying, and they are hellbent on grabbing as much wealth as they can before the global catastrophe strikes. The evidence for this conspiracy is as plain as daylight.
What can you do about this? Vote them out. Vote their enablers out of office. Make it impossible for any Party to win elections without standing up to the kleptocracy. And please don’t keep sharpening the guillotines. Revolutionary terror never helps anybody.
